Lift plan and engineering

Every mobile crane hire with Sky Access includes a site-specific lift plan prepared by a qualified lifting supervisor. The plan covers load charts, machine positioning, outrigger ground pressure calculations, and exclusion zone establishment before any hook goes in the air.

Outrigger ground protection

Outrigger mats and spreader plates are supplied with every hire to distribute point loads across the ground surface. On sites with underground services, basement slabs, or weak subgrade, our team calculates the required mat stack to keep ground pressure within safe limits.

Anti-two-block and load moment indicator

All cranes are fitted with anti-two-block protection and a calibrated load moment indicator (LMI) that provides the operator with a continuous readout of hook load as a percentage of the rated capacity — and automatically limits motion if the machine approaches its rated limit.

Certified operators

Every crane comes with a UAE Ministry of Human Resources certified crane operator. Operators are trained on their specific machine type, hold valid medical fitness certificates, and undergo regular competency assessments by Sky Access management.

Exclusion zones and banksmen

A minimum exclusion zone equal to the maximum radius of the crane's load must be established and controlled during all lifting operations. Sky Access recommends the use of trained banksmen (signallers) on all multi-lift operations and can supply them on request.
