Technical Overview
Telescopic boom lifts extend in a straight line, delivering the greatest horizontal outreach relative to their working height. The JLG 660SJ, for example, reaches 22m height with 17.4m of outreach — ideal for positioning a crew beside a building from a safe ground standpoint. The JLG 860SJ extends this to 26.2m height and 18.3m outreach, making it a workhorse on high-rise cladding and façade projects.
Articulated boom lifts add a knuckle joint (and often a telescoping secondary boom plus jib) so the platform can bend around structural obstructions — overhanging slabs, steel trusses, or rooftop plant rooms. The JLG 600AJ reaches 20.3m with a 14.6m horizontal reach and a ±90° rotating jib for fine positioning. The JLG 800AJ and 1250AJP push those numbers to 24.4m and 38.1m respectively.
For the region's most demanding lifts, the JLG Ultra Boom 1350SJP provides 43m of working height and 24.4m of outreach with a 272 kg platform capacity. This machine is frequently used on Dubai's supertall structures and large infrastructure projects where scaffolding is not feasible.
Safety Standards
Pre-delivery inspection
Every machine undergoes a full pre-delivery inspection (PDI) before leaving our Al Qusais yard — fluid levels, hydraulic system integrity, MEWP safety devices, and documentation all verified.
JLG SkyGuard® protection
JLG machines in our fleet are fitted with SkyGuard® secondary guarding — a sensor bar across the upper controls panel that triggers a stop if the operator is pushed against it, significantly reducing crushing risk.
Ground bearing & outrigger checks
Our team assesses ground conditions at delivery and recommends crane mats or spreader plates where required. Boom lifts must only be operated on surfaces rated for their outrigger point loads.
IPAF-certified operators
We recommend and can supply IPAF-certified operators for all boom lift operations. All operators must hold a valid MEWP operator certificate compliant with UAE and Dubai Municipality requirements.
Wind speed limits
Boom lifts must not be operated when wind speed exceeds 12.5 m/s (45 km/h) at platform height. Our machines carry anemometers on Ultra Boom models and operators are trained to monitor on-site conditions.
